Some of My Marathons Marine Corps Marathon, October 2001
Marine Corps Marathon, October 2002 Ah, the Marine Corps Marathon! There's a reason I've run this one 5 times! A great course through NoVA, Georgetown, and past all the great sites in D.C.. Huge crowds and the Marines do a great job with the logistics. Don't miss this one! New York City Marathon, November 2004
My most memorable race ever. If they would helicopter me to Staten Island in the morning (rather than waiting hours in line for the bus in Midtown), this would the be race to do every year. Millions of spectators, huge numbers of runners, large doses of fun, and an amazing run through all five boroughs. National Capital Marathon, May 2004
No crowds, but a well organzed race through the best parts of Ottawa. Except for the horrific trip through Hull in Quebecistan, very pretty. A really nice course. Recommended. Chicago Marathon, October 2005
Totally fun race. Big crowd, lots of music, and great course! Green Bay Marathon, May 2006
Fun course along the river, with that most excellent lap through Lambeau Field. Calgary Stampede Marathon, July 2006
Hang your head in shame, walker. Too hot. Too much Stampede. 4:04:00 in the 26C heat. Toronto International Marathon, October 15th, 2006
C-c-c-cold day (3C). 3:40:49. Very ugly course with inadequate water stations. Pass on this one. :MadTown Marathon -- May 26th, 2007.
Great day! Note the new PR: 3:29:40! Marine Corps Marathon.
Oops, came late to the start line and had to run around 10 000 Oprahs. Austin Marathon
Oops, forgot to train. Madison Marathon
I actually trained, and had high hopes of a PR. Tough, tough course. Way too hot (89 degrees). Actually up and down Observatory Hill and up and down those crazy hills in Maple Bluff. I almost died. I'm sure the sunburn will kill me down the road anyways. Next up: not sure. |
