Washington DC Summer Internship and Research Program - Program Costs
Fees for the program have not yet been finalized, but will be between about $1,500 and $1,800.
In addition, students are responsible for costs of travel to and from Washington, and are also expected to cover their own housing costs while in the program. The political science department will help with the process of finding affordable housing for the summer.
Due to the generosity of department alumni, some scholarship are also available to help students to participate in the program. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of financial need. To apply for a scholarship, fill in this form, and submit it along with your application to the program.
In addition, as students do not receive University credit for carrying out their internship duties (credits for the program come from the work related to the class material and project) students have often been able to find paid internships to help cover some of the costs of the summer.
