Nils Ringe

Assistant Professor

Department of Political Science
University of Wisconsin

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science. My research and teaching interests are European Union politics (in particular the institutions of the EU), legislatures, political parties, social networks, and elections. My book, "Who Decides, and How? Preferences, Uncertainty, and Policy Choice in the European Parliament," is forthcoming with Oxford University Press. I am also involved in a new book project that examines legislative members organizations (such as caucuses in the U.S. Congress, intergroups in the European Parliament, and cross-party groups in the Scottish Parliament) in a comparative perspective. In addition, I am working on a series of papers on social networks in legislative politics.
